View submission: what does this mean
iirc it's part of Reddiquette to not vote in a linked thread, unless you already werea member of the subreddit where the linked thread was posted.
This is because there could be a szenario where someone links a thread in sub B about *X*, posted originally in subreddit A. If sub B is "anti-*X*" and sub A is "pro-*X*", everyone from sub B who sees the link could hop over to sub A and downvote the post and/or comments, even though because sub A is *pro-X*, the post should be upvoted.
