Hate to sound callous but it sounds like you dodged a bullet. Partners support each other, even more so when the going gets tough. Remember that you deserve the world and don’t settle for less.

That’s what friends said too, but I don’t really feel that way. He has severe depression and although he doesn’t confide in me often, I knew he was struggling. I was so focused on myself that I wasn’t checking on him as much as I should’ve been. I definitely played a part as well, and we’re both extremely overwhelmed as we’re ending college. I think we just lost ourselves a little.
