/u/Flytape discusses the possibility of /u/soccer giving up /r/xkcd--for a price. USD, bitcoins, /r/stormfront swap all mentioned.

Randall needs to make sure the users in that sub know who it's controlled by. He could redirect all the comic links to a public denouncement of the sub. It should be possible to match /r/xkcd in the HTTP referrer header.

Anyone care to explain what is actually going on here to someone completely in the dark?

I know Stormfront is a racist website. I am guessing that the subreddit is a parody of it or something? Sorry...just pretty confused and clueless.

While I'm a big fan of /u/robotevil and the /r/EnoughLibertarianSpam team, *appearing to* offer /u/flytape money was a clumsy move. I realize they think he's an idiot (with legitimate reasons of course), but there's a danger in overestimating his stupidity. Of course the NLW tards will **NEVER** shut up about this now.

I wouldn't give them anything. Aside from a link or two in the sidebar how much damage are they able to do with /r/xkcd?

P.S. I love how the biased title rule is being enforced so selectively now.

/u/flytape:

The metadrama subs however do need 72 hours to make imaginary popcorn and jerk each other off over how cool they are that they can destroy a subreddit they don't agree with.

This would actually really bother me, if it were true. I don't post in linked subs. I don't vote, either, unless it's a sub I'm already sub'd to and which I would have participated in anyway, had I not happened to have seen it linked here first. And I don't usually see posts from my regular subs in here.

Anyway, it would really bug me if SRD actually tried to "destroy" subs or whatever. For one thing, popcorn won't grow on a tree that has been cut down. More importantly, though, it's just not fair. We shouldn't be going into other subs for any other reason than to observe them, like we'd observe a family of rabid meercats for a NatGeo documentary. Leave no trace...

Lol I don't think any of those would interest soccer.
Keep in mind that I don't have control over xkcd. Soccer does

I will never not be convinced that /u/Flytape and /u/soccer aren't the same person.

Nobody has figured it out?

/u/Soccer is an old, mostly inactive account that used to mod /r/conspiracy and who seems to agree with /u/Flytape on just about everything.

/u/Flytape is a newer account that now mods /r/conspiracy and was modded by /u/Soccer when the mod activity level needed to increase a lot in /r/Xkcd.

So, lets go to the logical conclusion. Soccer and Flytape are the same person, using two accounts. He modded his newer account to Xkcd in the hope of being around more to end the revolutionary activity there. It's not stopping, so now it's "Soccer might want to sell it somebody for the right price" that /u/Flytape is trying to set up.

In conclusion, Flytape is Soccer, Soccer is Flytape. There is only one idiot involved.

Man, people need to stop giving him attention. It's painfully clear from his comments in that thread he's loving being the center of attention, no matter how negative it is.

Fly tape wants /r/storefront to have a base of easily recognizable operations on Reddit for a stormfront invasion.
