I want to install a Patch for a game of Steam, but I’m worry about the unknown origin of the patch. It’s a .exe and I don’t know if malware from windows can affect Linux or if games that runs throughout proton are isolated. I’ve been searching about it but I don’t find nothing clear. What do you think?

Malware could technically run due to Wine, but it's unlikely it can do much because the Windows services it will likely try to attack are not there.
But, in general. If you don't trust the source, or suspect malware; Don't run it. And try to run scans on it.

Unless it came from somewhere like nexus mods I personally wouldn’t launch an exe for modding. Just know where you’re downloading from

Well, I recommend only official ones via steam workshop.
ModDB offers a lot, and you can apply it to steam games, but if steam detects it, it will overwrite with official files. If not, they might work until next reinstall. I am less woried about mailware etc. that comes mostly with pirated games, not community patches
