When you combine a mouse on the right trackpad with a Touch Menu on the left that you can attach all the keyboard shortcuts (fortify, found city, explore, etc, etc), <chef's kiss>. Even better, you can use one of the opposite grip buttons and create a *second* Touch Menu to attach all the Civ data pages (Civilopedia, tech tree, diplomacy, victory conditions, etc) it's like <galaxy brain meme>.

One other thing people commonly miss is that the default desktop controls incorporate mousewheel scrolling on the left trackpad, but (and here's the important part) it's in a *circle*. So you rotate your thumb clockwise to go down and counter-clockwise to go up. That way you don't have to keep swiping your thumb vertically. It's absolutely brilliant once you see what's happening.
