StL has got the two bucket blues again. Wash your hands. A lot. Consider eating at home for a week or two. If you get it lay low for a few days after you feel better because you're still contagious. Edit: 2+ hour wait at Mercy ER.

2+ hours? That's actually a short wait. Was in with my wife a few weeks ago and it was more like 6. They announced that if you weren't the patient and didn't need to be there for the patient (child/elderly) then you needed to go elsewhere to wait, and even the benches out in the vestibule were full.

We had assumed it was the wave of norovirus on top of flu, etc. but when we commented to one of the nurses, they said that was just pretty much normal traffic anymore.

We live way down north by the Arkansas border in a tiny town and just had what I am fairly sure was norovirus last week. The schools here are shut down today because of how many sick teachers there are. It really sucks. Stay safe out there everyone.

I got incredibly dehydrated due to it Saturday and spent 5 hours in the St. Mary’s ER. If you can, avoid going unless you can’t keep fluids down.

The good news is that there’s a promising norovirus vaccine that’s in trials now! Hopefully after a few years outbreaks like these will be a thing of the past.

Yep - keep your fluids up as much as you can. My stomach handles Popsicles right now

Metro East hospitals are reportedly keeping minor surgeries in ER beds because the rooms are filled with noro and covid patients. Source: my friend who had her gallbladder removed at St. E's, slept in the ER for three days, and got booted less than 24 hours after her surgery.

Had it. Stayed @ home for 3 days. Didn't go to the doctor. Sucks, but it's part of life.

My buddy has spent 3 days in his bathroom.

Wash your hands and don’t touch your mouth or eyes. 40 percent of viruses enter though you eye membranes.

For people who have had it - how long did it take to start showing symptoms? I went to the zoo and now I’m afraid.

We had Noro starting about on the 18th, ending on the 20th after making its way through our house. Then 23rd-29th we all had Flu A and RSV, still coughing but no more fever or body aches or chills. Godspeed to everyone else

I have a sore throat and diarrhea, no vomiting, could it be norovirus?

Only a 2+ hour wait? That's a vast improvement. Where can I go get me some of that norovirus stuff?

I’m surprised I haven’t caught it yet considering I’m out in these streets every day but I do Wipe my schnucks cart handles and I don’t go yo Walmart (which I consider norovirus ground zero)
