I’m probably super melancholy right now since my husband is in the hospital. The view is helpful.
Looking out I realized I’ve lived all over the area.
After I graduated college I lived in South city. I loved my morning walks around Benton Park. I loved walking g to the donut shop or to Cherokee Street.
Then I moved to Ferguson, I loved the neighborhood feel. I loved so much about North County. It was more diverse than south city.
I then moved to West County (Manchester) to be near family, my Father was ill and was easier to take care of him. I didn’t care as much for the area. I just lived there.
About 20 years ago I moved to Oakville after I met my husband and married. I had preconceived thoughts about it being Hoosier but I was wrong. I’m happy here.
However my favorite places were south city and Ferguson.

I know this area catches a lot of negativity but I’ve been very happy with living in St. Louis.

This is a great post and worth reading over again. I’ve personally always enjoyed Oakville and it’s a wonderful place to live
