Today, I was at the botanical gardens with my kid. Our paths crossed with a kid close in age (name starts with E) and their family in the kids room off the tropical dome. We then crossed paths again at the sheep. At that point, we became one large group down to the racoon statues and then back to the sheep.
Our kids hit it off and had a great time playing and I had a great time chatting with the parents. I should have offered my number bc it would be cool to plan park play dates and coffee, but I just didn't.
If this makes its way to that fam, feel free to be in touch here! At the least, thanks for the brightness today.

I'm not that person, but shout out to you trying. My kid has made instant best friends with random other kids in parks and museums, and I end up chatting with their parents at length, and then -- poof.
Hard to make pals as a parent!
