I'm planning my vacation this year and just realized that I can't go see the White House now because these days you have to ask your state's Senator or Congressmen (man) for a recommend to get in, and I've sent too many angry letters to Thune, Dusty, and the other idiot to expect to get their recommend.
Heckdurn. I wanted to go look at cool antiques and historic architecture. Wish my dad hadn't been in a cranky mood when we were in DC 50 years ago. We could have just parked the car nearby and got in line.

If it makes you feel any better my friend visited last year and she was really disappointed by how short and casual the tour was 😅
