View submission: r/ChapoTrapHouse plans a murder... "pull up in minivans with four shooters in the back, all carrying automatics, let loose, kill a bunch of proud boys..."

automatics

Lmao silly commies. You actually have to work (at this thing called a job) to afford the absolutely mad prices these weapons have been slated at, solely for the express purpose of whittling away our freedoms.

This all implying that they have the upper body strength to lift a Tommy gun.

These are the people that would actively try to buy illegal weapons on Craigslist, get caught in an ATF stings and complain that it’s the fault of capitalism

A STEN is $20 in materials and a welder, let's not pretend it's in any way impossible to get full auto weapons.

Let's not pretend they know how to, either, but if they did they totally could, not even a question.

They are only expensive if you obey the law. I don't think these guys really care about the law.

Well that or be mechanically proficient enough to make a Sten gun in your garage. Ironically full-autos are much less complex than semi-autos.

Somewhat off topic, but I’ve decided that if I ran my own country, law abiding citizens would be able to mail order assault rifles, belt fed machine guns, rocket launchers, grenades, mortars, flamethrowers, and other funs right to their doorstep.

Automatics aren't priced that way to erode our freedoms. They are that expensive because of basic economics. With the registry closed to new manufacture for the civilian market, there is an upward demand on a scarce resource. Demand has increased. Supply has not.

Our freedoms were already eroded before prices skyrocketed. It was the cause of those price sounds. And that happened under Reagan, with no pushback from the NRA. They didn't give two shits about the Hughes Amendment.
