Why Is it so common for people to constantly comment on something being beautiful when it doesn’t make sense?

An example: Someone’s cat dies, a person posts its photo on Facebook, and people comment in a manner that reads as it’s a bigger loss just because it was beautiful.

The idea is not to dwell on morbidity. Recognize beauty in life. Death can be a lot of things, sometimes beautiful, but the only thing we can hope for is being on the green side of the grass tomorrow.

This is a very strange interpretation of that situation. The commenter was just trying to show compassion and empathy for someone who lost their beloved pet, calling the cat beautiful likely had nothing to do with the magnitude of the loss.

Seems like you injected your own meaning into their words. As a general rule, you shouldn't do that.

Beauty is often associated with age. Pets who have shiny fur and otherwise look good are thought to be both beautiful and full of life. A pet with chronic issues and treatment for those issues tends to have visible signs to indicate its failing health.
