I’m 6 years clean and it’s the best thing I ever did for myself. I don’t even really have urges anymore. I’m still careful, but I feel FREE!

I’m a year and half sober.
I’ll be honest, I’m not really enjoying it that much. I’ve suffered an injury that doesn’t allow me to train the way used to and without that being sober has been pretty meh.
I miss being able to have a drink on a night out and dance the night away but I know I’m not able to control myself not go beyond that hence why I’ve stopped.
Being sober has its perks but I’d be lying to myself if I say that I didn’t miss it.

Sober from drugs for four years but occasionally want a drink. It’s hard to kick because it doesn’t feel like you’re doing anything that heavy when you’re just having a drink.

I appreciate the sentiment, but we aren't really "you got this!" Kind of people if we were we'd have put the drugs down long before they were fucking our lives up/killing us without any problems. In and out of AA since 2007 only have 60 days it really only takes one bad day to get back to worse than where you started trust me. I caught one of my old AA buddies screwing my girlfriend and stayed drunk for 10 years after that.
