There's been some frankly weird meetups for other cities. I'm sure someone else can link you to examples if you can't find them yourself. I wanna say Baltimore (or was it boston?) had an infamously bad meetup that they willing documented and shared on the internet.
Here is the infamous picture that gets posted all over Reddit a lot.[1] Not sure what city it was, though.
