One revelation that the union became aware of late in the investigation—and that reportedly helped sway the union from going any further in defense of Krieg and Nerbovig—was evidence that they had engaged in a bullying and harassment campaign against at least one colleague, according to multiple sources inside and outside the Stranger.
This new evidence was compelling enough that it was a key reason the union decided to stop backing Nerbovig and Krieg last week, according to sources familiar with the union’s reasoning.

As you read, please notice something that is missing from Ashley's and Hannah's side of the story: Anyone who works at The Stranger defending them. All the noise is coming from outside the tent. Suggests that maybe people who actually know what's going on think they got what they deserved.

let me tell you about a few other Stranger reporters from the past that also had ethical issues:
1. one lady reporter that ran the "drunk of the week" collum, got in trouble because she published a picture of a woman's bare tit without the woman's permission, the reporter forged the woman's signature to get the pic published. i'm pretty sure it ended in a fat lawsuit.
2. another blogger made a hit piece over a woman of colors fashion shoot where she accused the woman of being racist when the photo shoot was not racist at all the reporter just didn't do her work. after the hit piece came out a SLOG sleuth found pics of the blogger in question in black face for halloween posted on her insta. the comment thread tore the blogger to pieces.
3. another stranger employee was hanging out at the bar next to the stranger building and was friends with the bartender, the bartender shared with the employee that another patron didn't tip the bartender as well he thought he deserved . So the blogger took a pic of the customer's receipt with his info, and led a online mob to harass the customer. but the internet mob ended up harassing the wrong person.
4. Yall remember Matt Hickey the stranger party photographer convicted and sentenced for multiple rapes. pepredge farm remembers.

The way ECB was tweeting/bsky-ing her head off, I expected some actual substance from this, not a recap of the previous allegations and a doubling down on "anonymous people told me so."
There are like 6 people who work at The Stranger right now, and two of them just resigned. Her "anonymous sources" are either the new management or new editors.
