View submission: Let's meet up June 22nd
I'm tempted to check this out, but afraid it'll be cringey as hell. How do these typically go? Good times or meh?

I’ve never gone to a reddit meet up, myself. But I think you should go with an open mind and some food. I am.
You can always leave if it’s meh. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I agree with u/theferkle. If everyone goes in with the attitude that it will be cringey as hell then that is exactly what it will be. If people come in with an open mind, looking forward to meeting and talking to new people, then it should be a good time.
I haven't been to one of the Sacramento meetups before, but I am a mod on one of the music festival subs here on reddit and organize the meetup before the festival. It's a good time talking to people and finding out where they came from and who they were excited to see. Last year there was a group from the meetup that stayed together for at least the whole first day of the festival. So, it doesn't have to be cringey.
