Mods, we heard ya loud and clear and know that adding designated hosts as mods without perms is hacky and undesirable. Happy to announce that you can now *add great speakers as approved hosts* in your communities.
As a moderator with *Manage Users* permissions, you can give trusted members the ability to create and host Reddit Talks in your community.
To add an approved member, go to mod tools, select *Add Talk Host* in the top right of your screen, type in the username of the redditor you wish to approve, and select *Approve user*. You can send them a message letting them know they are an approved host.

Just to reiterate, if the talk is started by a host, then a moderator is not required to even stay during a Reddit Talk from now onwards right? Whenever the approved host desires, the talk ends too.
