This is probably going to be my last post for a while or maybe at all. I’ve realized Reddit is a for of compulsion / reassurance for me and for this to truly end i need to get off of here. Everyone on here has been nothing but helpful and I appreciate everyone who has reached out to me. My boyfriend deserves effort being put into this problem and I can’t do that if I’m constantly checking for reassurance. I think I may try to get cbt for this. I never thought that this would become a real problem and actually become my main focus of my ocd but here we are. If anyone has good experiences from therapy I would like to hear about them. Sorry for rant thank you guys

in my experience, CBT isn’t helpful unless it’s paired with ERP. so if you do do CBT, make sure it’s with a therapist that has experience with OCD and ERP
