So for abt a year I have been feeling like I don’t wanna see my gf or talk to her and I don’t get excited when I see her or feel lovey towards her and it bothers me that I don’t bc she’s a great girl but it’s like I analyze her looks and ik it’s not abt looks so idk why I can’t shake that and when she doesn’t look good or I find something wrong with the picture like her facial features or her flaws in her face I get anxious how do I stop this and is that’s compulsion and I question if I love her bc idk what love is supposed to feel like anymore I understand love is a choice but what’s it supposed to even feel like :(

No one really knows what love feels like tbh its like a deep sense of caring but also can fluctuate and becomes a choice. It won't be intense feeling constantly like in the movies.

Did you find your gf attractive before? how are you doing mentally? You mentioned you feel nothing for her but do you feel in general or are you struggling.

Checking, analyzing their physical flaws, paying attention to your negative feelings – all of these are compulsions. Because at the end, it’s to answer the question « am I still in love with her? » And compulsions only fuel anxiety. It’s this anxiety that blocks you from feeling what you’re supposed to feel—sometimes positive, sometimes negative. Feeling something negative doesn’t necessarily mean a lack of love. You need to calm this anxiety to return to a normal state, where you can assess your relationship more clearly.
