There are several volunteer groups that will search and dive waterways and ponds/lakes for free. Anyone with underwater sonar should search areas by boatramps, bridges, or anywhere a car might go off into the water. Trace the route yourself and look for car tracks going off the road, damaged guardrails or trees.
