I am currently at the beginning of write up for my dissertation in anthropology (semiotics of national identity, belonging, power through & with nuclear weapons heritage). Queer anthro/theory is one of my major literatures.
It brings me great joy to be able to include the above meme and I am going to fight to keep it in during revisions.

I fucking love this. People sometimes don’t get why I ID as both bisexual and Queer if bisexual is accurate enough, but this is it. Even being included in the acronym, I’ve never felt like the acronym and its movement really represented me.
Small example. As a kid, it never occurred to me that the fight for gay marriage included me because I wasn’t gay.
