He supports Israel’s right to defend themselves but says they need to show restraint and not withhold aid from civilians in Gaza, which more or less lines up with his policy when he was in office.

Isn't this like . . . the median position on the Israel-Gaza War at this point? Maybe it's not newsworthy because he's not saying anything terribly different from the conventional wisdom on this issue.

Yeah that’s why I called the response milquetoast. Not far enough on either side to really grab anyone’s attention
