We just bought an old house in the Florence area that still has cloth wiring, even some K&T (although it doesn't appear to be connected anymore, at least), and I'd love to get it all updated to current code. Not having any ground connections on most/all of our outlets doesn't give me a warm & fuzzy feeling. I can handle little things, but this is a good bit out of my realm of expertise.

Curious to see what recommendations folks have for decent electricians in the area. I've heard good things about Hiller or DC, and to stay the absolutely fuck away from Burton. Any other recommendations from the hivemind?

Dennis Electric is my go to for electrical.

He has 5.0 stars on Google with about 500 reviews for a reason.

Hi neighbor! Welcome to the neighborhood! Gatchell Electric Is a family owned small business in Florence that’s been around forever. We’ve had them do work in our house a few times and have been very happy. Fair price, knowledgeable & fun to talk about Florence happenings with 🙂
