It’s a bold choice going for the imagery of “25” when picked the date, but it’s a random Wednesday. Suffering people are going to need to work and turnout is going to be much lower than if it was a weekend or holiday. 2/5/25 looks cute, but I fear it will not be as impactful as it could be.
I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am.

Redditors: why would you shout at an empty bldg no one’s even there; Some of us have jobs still; what does this even do…
Redditors: even though it’s scheduled thru the evening, why bother? You’re self serving, some of us have jobs, why didn’t you post this in time for it to come up on my specific page before now!; some of us have jobs, what does this even do…
Yall are exhausting.

PSA: this has been circulating the internet for a few weeks now so for those of you saying “I need more than a few days notice”, this is just the first time you’re seeing it. Don’t get upset with OP because your algorithm didn’t show you another’s post sooner.
OP, I have zero clue why you’re getting downvoted especially with you saying there will be more of these to come. You’re absolutely right, there will be many more considering how much damage the orange has caused in less than 2 weeks. Don’t let anyone discourage you from spreading this information!!

2A applies to the left too. You want change and you think it's that crucial to the united states. The 2nd Amendment allows you to do that no matter who you support.

The only thing that will work is a financial strike, that is it. But people are completely unwilling to give up their little creature comforts, wake up and do what’s right. Anyone who has an interest comment and let’s organize. I will research the best approach to the strike tomorrow and get something started. I can’t just idly sit by and watch this happen. We have to at least try to fight.

If you are able to make it there, go. If you aren't able to make it, tell everyone you know.

its got to start somewhere. Remember your neighbors are not your enemies. Its time to grow up and move beyond partisan prejudicial lines before we find ourselves a shell of are forme self.

Columbus City Schools is having a "Professional Development Day" for staff. I hope a lot of educators choose to come to the Statehouse instead.

I've seen a lot of people above making references that only unemployed people will be there. Maybe someone employed people will be there, because they haven't been able to get a job with a living wage in this economy. However, you know who else will be there? People able to take the day off of work to prioritize civil rights, people who DO WORK but owe their own businesses and make their own schedules, people who are on disability for mental or physical chronic illnesses who need to advocate for themselves. But none of that matters, because people who aren't working are not entitled to any less rights than people who are.

People have to come together in ways that make showing up for protests and other actions possible for more people. Those who have the money to do so need to give money to those who will lose pay for going to the action. Someone needs to provide childcare so several others can go. People may need to provide food for others or give people rides. And this needs to be done for planning meetings leading up to the action. (Really, community support like this needs to be an every day thing.) Acting like it's an individual responsibility to show up, as opposed to a community responsibility, just weakens any actions.
And for everyone making negative comments about people being paid to protest, you're speaking from a place of privilege that not everyone enjoys. Like it or not, we live in a capitalist society and money is required to live. You can't expect people to show up to anything if they're going to go hungry or lose their housing or not be able to buy their meds or lose their job. You want as many people as possible involved, you have to make sure everyone is taken care of.
Community care is required to make real change.

This doesn’t sit right with me. As a chronic over thinker and over analysis thinker. There are several red flags with this.
1. Lack of organization…they can be wildly known and gaining traction but still have bad organization.
2. Why is their only “website” a subreddit? And somehow no one seems to be questioning this ESPECIALLY knowing the president and his plans.
3. It’s time zone coded for every state to happen at the exact same time. Meaning when it happens in cali it will happen at the same time ( not cloak time like pst, eastern time etc…)
4. It’s only at the capital in the capital city of each state. So basically centralized in a nation wide aspect.
5. Seeing brick piles in countless videos on TikTok relating to this exact protest.
Am I the only one who thinks this is odd? And suspicious? Or am I overthinking all this.

It’s funny that people honestly think it’s not already too late. You all elected republicans with no morals who crave power. It doesn’t matter even if everyone in the US protested the republicans would ignore it and do what they want anyway.

Protesting when it will cause the most impact matters. Stopping traffic and wreaking havoc! No justice and no peace until everyone has equal rights. Why do this when everyone is resting peacefully at home and no one is going to be bothered by a protest? Do them on weekdays always!
