A little free tonight, not sure if this is the place to post random thoughts.. I am looking for both supportive / constructive criticism with my random thoughts..

I saw a few unrelated posts earlier that prompted some thinking.. one, about being single and dealing with loneliness.. ive been on my own for most of my adult life.. 15 years maybe! the number of times i felt lonely in 15 years is probably less than a week in total.. i dont feel it.. i wonder if im living in my fantasy.. ie. i do have crushes that keep me entertained/motivated to do certain activities that i look forward to every week. workout/music/sports/work.. and i do all 4 quite consistently my whole life almost! 😅 is this healthy or is this something one should look to break?

digital detox after 10pm.. i tried it, and i have a few books to read, music to play.. but theres only so many nights you can do the two until you cant anymore.. what do people do that doesnt involve phone/tv/ppl?

Another random thought, im also looking for inspiration to travel/ do something different. can you share your most meaningful/ memorable experience? Thanks!

I read every day but my lifestyle allows that. Playing some dinner jazz and reading in the evening feels posh af.

Also if you have the money, indulge in some interior design so as to personalize your home.

Sounds like a wonderful life to me! pursuit any hobbies you’re interested in.

I can say that solo travel is amazing, particularly in safe countries like Japan. I like to get away from it all every now and then and I've found going up into the mountains and into smaller towns around Japan, it gets pretty quiet pretty quickly.

I went through some stuff last year and needed to get away. I signed up for a Japanese language school in the northern part of Japan and was there from January to April. It was COLD. But I love the snow and going skiing was amazing.

I remember taking the chairlift up to the summit and just staring out at the silent lanscape. There was almost nobody else around. I took a deep breath and exhaled. I felt so much better.

Dunno if you're into solo travel but I'd highly recommend Japan! Definitely learning a few key phrases helps.

Dude do whatever makes you happy. You're a minority, but that doesnt mean you're wrong. Probably on the aromantic spectrum, but not definetly. Some of us don't really need any other romantic relationship ever. 33F and although i get lonely i really don't want a relationship of that type at all. My life feels easier and more satisfying this way. Like it's my real, "default" mode. Been single for like 10 years.

I recommend Iceland for solo travel.
