Like... How many times a week/month for general aches and pains as a way of getting through life more comfortably and being more functional

PSA folks, if more than once a week, try using Tylenol instead most of the time. NSAIDS like Ibuprofin are HARD on your organs. As a kidney donor, I'm not even allowed to take them. Or if you're prone to ulcers, don't take ibuprofen

4-5x a month. Usually for period pain, sometimes when my back pain becomes too much.

Less than once per month. Pretty much only if I have a cold/flu or a bad tension headache.

Maybe two pills once every 2 or 3 months - depends on if I hurt myself at the gym or am coming down with something (sore throat or headache usually)

Used to pop a couple every night for general arthritis aches & pains. Finally figured out it was messing BIGTIME with my digestion, to say nothing of my organs themselves. So now I don't even take it when I'm sick unless my throat is so sore I can't swallow. Definitely leaning on the acetaminophen more now, but even then, once a month - maybe.

I use NSAID painkillers sparingly, typically 1-2 times a month for occasional headaches. I start with water, then Tylenol, and only take ibuprofen or Aleve if the headache persists for hours. After stress-induced gastritis last year, I'm cautious with NSAIDs, as they can cause or worsen it. I prefer non-medication options for pain like stretching, and hot or cold packs. For persistent pain, I consult my doctor or try physio. I also have an IUD to manage period cramps, which reduces my need for pain meds.

Only when I get sick and during bad periods, maybe six or seven times a year?

I try to use ibuprofen sparingly and will opt for other pain killers when I can. I noticed it I take ibuprofen too frequently I get a weird heart flutter thing.

Only if the hangover won't quit after trying to fix it, so like 4x a year at a dosage of one pill. Tops. I'm 38 with cerebral palsy so I definitely ache, but I'm not gonna make a habit of relying on ibuprofen. That sounds worse than aching.

I just took a look at our pain killers in the medicine cabinet a few weeks ago and the newest one expired in 2018.

I always have to take a few the first 24 hours of my period. Outside of that, rarely, less than once a month. Usually after some super intense multi day hike where my whole body hurts too much to sleep after.

Never. Aches and pains are signals from the body that something needs to be healed. When the check engine light is on, you're supposed to check the engine and fix what needs fixing, not try to turn the light off and continue driving.
