This cannot be computed without knowing how your consumption varies over the year. They probably make a very rough extrapolation on the raw yearly consumption.

Impressive that you can tell if its good for people without knowing the terms of the proposal.

In the commercial market these agreements are longterm fixed, but there is no reason for a public coverage like this to need that commitment.

They are not in a position that they need to hedge against losses by overcharging in the cheaper months.

Likely there will be no or a very short commitment, so people would only be locking onto it for the expensive months and use normal pricing for the rest of the year.

Intil the actual terms and how its gone be managed is released, any calculator like that is worthless and might aswell ask a magic 8ball.

Is the consumption weighted? People use more in winter so you can't divide the annual consumption evenly.

I believe Forbrukerrådet do this when they estimate cost at https://www.forbrukerradet.no/strompris/[1][2]

1: https://www.forbrukerradet.no/strompris/

2: https://www.forbrukerradet.no/strompris/

My consumption for January was over 1300kWh while I usually stay in the 300 to 500 range in summer months.

Last year, my average cost was over 0,80, so yeah, a fixed 0,40 would be a great deal.

Seems like something is off.

You should split any savings on nettleie off, since nettleie varies around the country.

Plot in 10.000 kWh, and it says 5765.75 with a fixed price of 40øre+VAT. It should be changed so it's 5000 sharp, and then add on savings in nettleie.

My own situation for 2024:

NO5

Used ~15300 kWh @70øre and paid ~10800 for electricty including VAT and 3.8øre/kWh to the supplier.

After 955.- in strømstøtte, I paid ~9850.- with an average kWh price of ~64.4 øre

With the fixed price, it would have been 53.8 øre/kWh, and a total of 8231.-

I would have saved about 1600.-

My nettleie is about 800/mo, and 10% less MVA will save me about 100/mo. Possibly a bit less depending on if there is MVA on "forbruksavgift".

Accordign to your site, I should have paid 9100 with strømstøtte, and would have paid 8800 with fixed price, and saved less than 300.

Putting both together, I would have saved somewhere in the range of 2200-2800 with the fixed price.

This may have something to do with when I used the electricity, as it follows a sinus curve with at least double the amount of kWh spent in a winter-month vs a summer-month.

Sugestion:

Allow people to put in their kWh usage and their own average price(with or without strømstøtte), and also average nettleie per month.

I averaged below 0.40kr /kwh Closer to 0.30kr/kWh per month. I think this suggestion and the timing (1st october) Is a sign of desperation.

I cant speak for the rest of the country but this is my cost per month.

You don't have to check anything, just know that 40 at fixed > 30 max.

The labor party is sliding a fast one up everyone's asses and people are too stupid to understand, it's actually amazing that so many people can tie their own shoelaces.
