Cats rarely go very far from their home even when they disappear for days. Hopefully he'll turn up soon.

If you can, bright posters around the area are helpful.

Post to PawBoost, Facebook and Nextdoor. If you have a Ring cam you can post to your local neighbors.

Mark lost with microchip company if chipped.

Check shelters in person.. do not rely on calling and giving a description.

When my cat got out, I took literal turds from his litter box and sprinkled them outside by back stoop area as well as sprinkled some litter. I put his bed and a recently worn tshirt of mine outside. Just wanted to maybe lure him with scents. Three long days later, he came back. I hope you find your sweet boy very soon!

I’m local. I’m so sorry! I’ll keep an eye out. I’m over on Hoffman.

I’d take your number off the listing. Just tell them to PM you.

Looks like a long lost descendant of the mighty Stretch Armstrong, whom broke free in Gastonia about 18 years ago at an attempt to bring him to the vet. I assume he went on to be fruitful and multiply!

Best wishes in your kitty coming home safe and sound!

Sorry to hear this! My cat got out a few years ago and I tried all of the bed, blankets, and litter boxes out side tricks, but she’s an independent spirit and was enjoying raiding the dumpster behind the diner up the street a little too much. Definitely recommend trying all of this and hanging posters, as that’s how we finally got her back! One tip I learned that helped me track her down was to listen to the squirrels when you’re out searching!! They were much better at spotting cats (and other predators) than me, and if I could hear them chittering in a tree there was a pretty good chance that it meant a cat was near by!

There's a pretty active pair of Red Shouldered Hawks in this area but doubt they'd mess with an ~8lb cat. I'll keep an eye out since I usually go to that Food Lion.
