Ban reason: "Posted Dusty Diatribe" - Public mod log proves that /r/Conspiracy moderators have a policy to ban and censor users for linking to a modmail leak which shows that /r/conspiracy moderators subjectively enforce their rules (always in favor of pro-Trump content).

This **hypocrisy, corruption and moderator power abuse** raises a couple obvious questions:

1. Why are /r/conspiracy mods so afraid of **modmail leaks?**[4] They **post them regularly and sticky them for days**[5] when it's not their modmail.

2. Why are /r/conspiracy mods so afraid of people citing the ***public*** mod-log[6] if they have nothing to hide[7] like they frequently claim?[8] They frequently post "diatribes" against other subreddits' mods for this exact behavior[9] and sticky them them for days (bonus: the mod who censored this, /u/Amos_Quito, does this and so does /u/axolotl_peyotl, the de-facto head mod whose *rule 11 violating* post this censorship/banning took place in. Corruption.)

True cowards. They ruined what for ~8 years was a great subreddit[10] because of their bizarre adulation for an obvious con-man and their mindless, seething hatred for anything and anyone perceived to be "left wing".

I was recently banned for talking shit on nazis. That makes conservative, politics and conspiracy, along with the d and a few other subs. I'm a dick sometimes, I acknowledge it's my own fault, but it's really fucked up in context sometimes.

Nice "detective" work, Dusty. I always admired you for having your finger on the "pulse" of Reddit, so to speak.

But I'm not so sure that I agree with the "conclusion" you reached here:

**hypocrisy, corruption and moderator power abuse**

Really? You think so? Here's the deal from my perspective:

I ran across the thread in the moderation queue, seeing a reports on /u/johnjglanton's post - Rule 2 violation. I manually APPROVED that, in spite of the violation because at the time, I did not think his intentions were malicious.

I then noticed that johnjglanton's account was **7 days old**. It was the FIRST DAY he could post *(7-day waiting period for new accounts in effect to curb ban evasion)*, and what does he do? Go straight after the mods - calling out Rule 11, the enforcement of which, **as I told him**, was subject to moderator discretion - similar to what I dad done WRT his earlier Rule 2 violation.

He continued on his attack of the mods (violating Rule 10), but when he posted this, he crossed the line.

What was it? Why, it was a link to YOUR post in r/undlete where you, a former r/conspiracy mod, launched a tirade against the mods and the sub.

At that moment it became undeniably clear that that /u/johnjglanton was VERY familiar with the "drama" associated with the sub, AND that the account was created for the purpose of **BAN EVASION**, which, as you know, is a ***a site-wide violation of Reddit rules.***

As I'm sure you ALSO know, comments made by a user can STILL BE MODIFIED by that user AFTER a ban has been implemented, and understanding his malicious intent, I proceeded to REMOVE every comment he had made in that thread - to prevent his fouling the thread further by modifying earlier comments.

Was I wrong to have done that??? Sue me.

Personally *(as a USER)* I despise internal drama and bedwetting. It is as dull and irritating as traveling cross-country with a carload of bickering spoiled brats. When the shit-show between you and the other mods erupted on your exiting your mod position, I had paid little attention. In fact, I have STILL not read the screed that you posted and that the *"other" person* linked to today.

When you posted your little diatribe, you betrayed that trust, bro - airing the "dirty laundry" for all to see. NOT COOL.

Moreover, it appears that you went much further in a classic "Switch to the Dark Side" by associating with...

Need I go on, Dusty? Really?

Look bro, you have attacked what I did today. You have accused me via PM of being "disappointing" "cowardly" and "shameful". I have explained why handled the 7 day old TROLL the way I did. I make NO APOLOGIES.

You want to scrutinize the actions I have taken as a mod during the short time I have been here? FINE. Break out the "evidence" of my ***"hypocrisy, corruption and moderator power abuse"***.

Good luck with that. Happy hunting.

Meanwhile, I must say that I am more than a little disappointed, as my faith in your integrity is surely shaken.

Please don't misconstrue - this does NOT mean that I see you as an "enemy", but I think it would be best if we remain on fairly amicable terms. I hope that you agree.

Regards,

Amos
