I’m pretty sure Russian military equipment relies on GNSS? If they can launch the satellites I’m pretty sure they have can do the easy bit of making receivers?

It’s fun to make fun of them but they’re not some cavemen.

GNSS is the generic term for satellite based geopositioning. You're thinking of GLONASS.

I think there were some in-cockpit videos of a russian helicopter during the early days of the Ukrainian war where there was clearly an aftermarket GPS unit on the dash.
