I love these Reddit people going crazy over Karma. You get replies back saying dude your Karma sucks. I reply back with Yes it does suck because Karma sucks and the stupidest thing since the creation of Reddit, Facebook and Twitter. Karma doesn’t stop spammers. It makes it worse. Reddit get rid of it now. It’s dumb.😂😂 Now watch this post get deleted or I get banned for going against Reddit. You get banned for free speech. This country and social media has gone down the tubes. Well actually it’s always been in the tubes but it’s gotten much worse. If someone doesn’t agree with your post you get downvoted. So how is that fair? It’s not. Reddit actually works against you. Social media like Reddit , Facebook and Twitter isn’t about spreading information. It’s about spreading mis-information and to spew BS. That’s what special media is about.

P.S MODS are the worst. There shouldn’t be any mods. They should be banned.

We understand the frustration, karma was not designed to be a restriction. But spammers adapt and mods do what they can to keep their subs healthy - and it is mods that set karma restrictions, not Reddit, and it does help prevent some spam. Sadly it does trip up many good faith new Redditors too. Why Reddit may seem unwelcoming to new Redditors

This video[1] demonstrates how voting and karma works. Check out our Guide to Reddit and karma[2] to learn how to participate on Reddit and earn karma, places to start out, how to find subreddits etc

Some, but not all subs have restrictions regarding account age and karma count, so you may not be able to post everywhere at first, but there are many places you can! It's just a case of finding those subreddits you can participate in, that you have an interest or knowledge base in, and start by commenting - adding your knowledge and experience to discussions. As people upvote your comments, this will build your karma genuinely.

Downvotes aren't meant to be a disagree button, but it does get misused. There is guidance on voting here in the reddiquette[3].

We don’t delete posts against Reddit here if they’re made with good reason :)

The karma system is the best and worst idea

You can easily lose points because someone disagrees on your comment or just does it to be annoying ( or is jealous )

Heck even if you made a comment similar to another user and they get 40+ upvotes and you get 3
