Sometimes when you’re posting, you might get this error message pop up: "Looks like you've been doing that a lot. Take a break for X minutes before trying again."[1], where X has been reported to being any number between 30 seconds to 30 minutes. And yes, it’s annoying. It's something every user has been through, and can happen for several reasons:

- It means your karma is too low to post in that particular sub without time limits. This will pass with time[2].

- Sometimes Reddit’s servers occasionally glitch and you press “send” several times because it looks like your post or comment hasn’t gone through…. until the glitch is over and you see that it did, multiple times[3].

- It can happen if you’re using a VPN[4]. There are many reports that Reddit isn’t compatible with VPN usage[5] and gives this error message.
