The “Unwritten Rule of Gilding”
Probably Reddit’s #1 unwritten rule is: “If someone is asking for gold, gild the comment above or below them, but under no circumstance gild the comment itself.”[1]. You will note that the example *was* written and indeed, was gilded. There’s a lesson in that. Maybe.
