I was curious…. They haven’t looked open in a long time. I pass by them everyday on the way home from work.

We made it a point to pop in once a week when they opened as a co-op. .....

Then they weren't a co-op and I think the workers went on strike around jazz festival and we didn't set foot in there again. I don't think it was ever even addressed.

I really hope someone else takes over the space because it's a lovely spot. The thing is they have the Pagoda right next door to them which is a co-op and I know they would have absolutely advised them.

Good riddance. I worked there and it was not what they made it out to be. Could have been a great spot but when you let frauds run the show…

Haven't they been experiencing issues since they first opened pretty much, due to false promises around collectivizng the business model?

I used to be close with the owners. I haven’t spoke to them in quite a while, but I will say their original intentions were very good. They did truly aspire to run the bar as a co-op and didn’t enter the business trying to scam anyone. They obviously were unable to execute the vision and hurt a lot of people along the way. They were inexperienced and over idealistic when they started the business and wanted to harbor a non-toxic work environment. I think mismanagement caused them to became the very thing they had wanted to combat.

Happy for them to be gone. Such an odd place for the area. Mediocre food. Boujie drinks and pretentious bartenders that acted like they had somewhere else better to be. I’d love to see what it can turn into.
