Anecdotally, I tried them once and following the initial trip effect, it felt like one of the noticeably healthiest things I have ever consumed. They way it cleared any built up negativity and anxiety was like pulling a bathtub plug and having it all drain away like water.

From what I understand it feels like resetting your brain and clears out all the emotional build up you have had for some time. It also has been shown to help depression, ptsd, and addiction. Very excited this could be a thing to help people

You DO know that currently home growing for home use is in a grey zone in NM. Basically legal.
This is going to create a medical and pharmaceutical empire. An empire that’s going to be completely controlled by 1 or 2 corporations while making the home grower a criminal.
Can we get some protections for some spiritual and medical home use at least? Some that DOESN’T fill some billionaires pocket?

Hope it passes. Some people have intractable depression/anxiety, and this will at least provide a viable alternative to pharmaceuticals, many of which have horrific side effects.

full support for this! I tried shrooms to see how I liked em and the night and day difference between my typical bland-yet-fulfilling at best and horribly cynical at worst mindset while sober and the free-flowing unabashed childlike joy and marvel the smallest things like the lights on my ceiling was a truly transformative experience. It felt like I regained all of the wonder I had lost in my adult years and soothed so much of my existential worries.
I hope this bill passes and we can see some progress made on understanding this age-old drug. After all the difference between medicine and poison is usually the dose.

This could be such a benefit for many people struggling with depression/anxiety. Long term positive outcomes in a treatment that doesn’t dull the emotions and minimal side effects.
There is so much research out there now about the benefits of Microdosing psilocybin. Much information about its benefits for depression and anxiety. It is not the answer for major mental disorders and indeed can be harmful for mental disorders such as bipolar, schizophrenia, major depression, OCD, personality disorders ( ie borderline, narcissistic, sociopathy).
It’s also not about “tripping“ it’s about micro dosing, in such a small quantity that you do not and should not have any physical effect. And not long term ie like SSRIs, SNRI etc. which suppresses feelings and emotions. Instead psilocybin stimulates and activates other receptors to increase neurotransmitters that help a person cope with life and be more flexible.
Also, Macrodosing can be of benefit, in just a few sessions, under supervised circumstances with supportive counseling can be a very effective in lifting long term anxiety and depression.

after shrooms get legalized, I wonder what drug is going to come next? ecstasy? heroin? they may as well just introduce some kind of Bill that just makes all the chems provisionally "legal" as long as certain guidelines are followed.
and I'm not being sarcastic or facetious.
I mean, prohibition was a clear example of why making stuff illegal doesn't work.
because technically everything has a certain usefulness if you don't abuse it. put the coke back in Coke. bring back certain weight loss pills that might have been pulled from the market due to their off label uses.
if I want to put myself into a dissociative state then that should be my choice.
the '80s was a great time to be alive and the 90s also. I don't know about anything before that, I wasn't around then. but I heard the 70s were pretty cool
