Best antagonist in the series hands down. I know I’ll get shit for this but I felt transitioning to Madara being the main antagonist was awkward and I just don’t vibe compared to pain. He felt scarier and more human.

Dude needed to take some chill pill and develop his nation instead on going hell bent on pain plans.
Why use your power for destruction then you can teach people how to be kinder? He had all of the resources for it, yet choose to make world feel pain instead of love.
He is great villian, and one of the few characters who can be seen as evil in many ways, but as a person, I wouldn't want to see his face. He wasted his life on plan which would bring only suffering, he could have started planning so much with biju energy ,or even without it, but no, he allowed hate to guid him.

Best arcs in the manga. He represents everything Naruto isn't. A person who fell into despair and wanted to hurt everyone so they could feel his pain. A wrathful god who lost his ninja way.

Awesome everything, my only ONLY problem is that his existence is essentially a proxy of Madara (and Madara being a proxy of kaguya and so on). Let me elaborate, pain is nagato, nagato is a uzumaki who Madara planted his rinnegan in, hoping this random fucking uzumaki would revive him one day, so essentially pain doesn't have any powers outside of having Madara's eyes. And while that's not a bad thing, I would just like for nagato to be a villain influenced by other villains rather than have their powers directly, but that's just me
