No matter how “shitty” it is, if it gets people talking, it’s done its job.

Every definition of art like this one falls apart if you put it under any form of scrutiny.

Lots of people are talking about this Luka Doncic trade. If the Mavs GM comes out and says "guys, it's just art", does that mean he made good art?

Well, no because the purpose and intent still has to be that it gets people talking. The act has to come from a genuine place. You’re taking things way out of context, man. Artists love art, that’s why they make it. Musicians love music. You’re just trying to make a case and failing horribly. He got traded for monetary reasons. It’s not for the masses to enjoy. It’s solely because money was offered and the owners took it. No other reason.
