Yeah. It isn't really the same as it deals more with epistemology rather than a subverting of norms. The idea of there being no silence as long as we are alive is in a similar ballpark to the uncertainty principle and other strange brutal truths. It's an unknowable unreachable goal. The best way to show that to an audience or to get them to experience it, is by doing what he done. I get you can argue that it's maybe more a performance art piece than music, but it does what it sets out to do well and the inspiration behind it is a fundamental truth of being a human that maybe isn't well known or often thought of.
