It can get even better if you have status or pay for a full price fare… maybe fully refundable? Maybe only in the form of a flight credit, but you plan to take a flight in a few months and can rebook this, into that. Maybe your airline will let you off the hook if you book a flight, and then immediately call in and ask to cancel your booking, so sorry, I made a mistake. It’s NEXT month that we have that meeting.
