Wow I'm exhausted just looking at that list. That's a lot of transit time and activity planning. IMO cut down on the destinations.

Maybe 3 days in essaouira is too much? I think two days/1 night is plenty.

Edit: I would even say that arriving in the middle of the day, enjoying the sunset, spending the day and leaving in the afternoon is enough for Essaouira (for such a trip)

Seems pretty good. Don't stay just in the cities and checkout the surrounding regions like Moulay Yacoub baths

I’d recommend spending at least five days in Marrakech to really take it all in. Also, check out the surrounding areas for activities like zip-lining or paragliding if that’s your thing. There’s just so much to see and do!

Are you planning to stay at a conventional hotel, or in a Riad in Marrakech?

Volubilis and meknes could be done on your way from chefchaoun to fes so you can take one day of the five days, merzouga is basically is erg chebbi, there are not much to see except staying in dunes and some quad biking buggy/camel riding. Ait benhaddou is a small village that can be walked around it in 2h max since marrakech agadir and essaouira are your last destination take the time to relax more and rest more it would be easier and much more helpful to restore back the energy

Very solid planing tbh my ocd salutes you hahah I’d move Rabat till after Chefchaouen tbh, it makes sense with the transit direction after coming back from the north going south. Plus it’s a good city to recharge before hitting the road again. I’d also do tetouan and tanger as a block, and jebha Chefchaouen as another. Enjoy your stay 🙌🙌

Super solid, although I suggest you minimize the days spent at Fez-Meknes region by a single day and add it to Marrakech.

Reasons why: -Fez is under massive infrastructure reconstructions but the Medina is still good -Meknes have 70% of its landmarks locked under restoration so there’s no much things to be seen at the meantime. (I’m from Meknes) -Volubilis is just around the corner from Meknes and it won’t take you more than a six hours visit.

With all these factors considered, 5 days for that region is much, 4 days though is ideal.

Less days on fes/meknes...same for essaouira (pretty small). Agadir may add a couple days, but go to Taghazout and surroundings.

Just coming back from a 10 days trip in Morocco. For me it depends what you're looking for when traveling, eg do you like the adventure, big wild, nature, meeting locals in warm and authentic settings? Or do you like shopping, big touristic resorts, etc?

If you like authenticity, nature, etc, I'd recommand spending most of the time outside of big cities, in the big south (eg everything south of Marrakesh). That's where we had the most pleasure.

I'd recommend 1-1.5 days in Ait Ben Haddou, same in Todra Gorges and do the hike, then 2-3 days around Dadès, hike there and try to find a local who can bring you to sleep in some caves, nomad style.

Then spend as much time as you can in the Sahara, that's the best part. Eg do a 4-6 days trek with some nomads, will be a once in a lifetime experience. We went to El Chegaga through Mhamid, was wonderful but we also heard great things about Merzouga, so why not doing both if you can.

Regarding cities, Fes is great and 2 days is a good duration. For Rabat I was glad to see it for 1 day. Marrakesh not my cup of tea, I'd not stay more than a day. Casablanca no need to stay more than half a day, just visit the mosque and get out of there.

But that's just my opinion based on my own preferences. Anyway in my case if I had to redo it again I'd certainly focus entirely on the south + couple days in Fes, and totally skip Casa/Marrakesh, and spend more time in the desert with nomads.

I'd recommend you substitute the 2 days in Agadir for 7 days in Tamraght/Taghazout - you need some chill beachy time to recover from all your travel days

Preferably avoid public transport to maintain this planning unless if ure using trains. Having a rental car can buy you a lots frustrations.

We’ve been to Morocco three times in the last two years. We’ve fallen in love with the country. Imlil is one of our favourite places- a real vista in the mountains. It’s stunning to trek among the mountain villages and there are trails for all abilities. I feel it would be a sad thing to miss!!
