Yep, Colorado’s had a rough last couple of decades. But another thing to think about are some the places those transplants are coming from, they lost their identity too. I lived on the east coast for a bit, and the Bostonians you see in Matt Damon movies? The guys with the thick accents and a family that’s lived there for a hundred years. They’re getting priced and pushed out of their city and state too. We’re all yearning for a past where they was more community and shared values. We need to figure out how to make that happen - Butte was a city of “transplants” at the end of the 19th century, and they became one of the strongest communities in the state.

That’s absolutely true. Everyone just wants to fit in somewhere, the problem is not everyone fits in somewhere.
