I recently claimed an inactive subreddit r/LeggyAsians 8 days ago

Today, I've had it renamed to r/a:t5_3jxkh/

I'm aware reddit is doing this to inactive subs, but this was active and moderated.

Is this a mistake?

It's happening to a lot of newly adopted subs, unfortunately. My theory is that they were marked as dormant and to be purged before being adopted, and so got swept up anyway.

The advice seems to be to re-make it when the name frees up, but of course that doesn't get you back the time and effort you already put in.

Edit - It looks like you might be able to get it reverted?? https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/comments/opzweh/help%5C_rhawaiianairlines%5C_has%5C_been%5C_changed%5C_or%5C_hacked/h69yyrd
