Thanks for bubbling this up, we just rolled out a change so subreddits that use the spam filter in that manner should be able to continue to do so.
This is still occuring and self posts[1] that got filtered by our subreddit settings for review, still aren't in our modqueue[2] and are heading to about/spam still instead.

As you can see I've also asked /u/talklittle[3] to implement a spam tab because lots of us in rAndroid use their app to mod and clear out our modqueue.
Now we can't because these posts are getting sinkholed unless a weirdo mod checks about/spam. Please help or revert this?

YES! please fix whatever idiotic idea makes it so that we can't check this stuff from the freaking official app.
