View submission: User account ring - Astroturfing and multiple accounts pushing narrative on multiple subreddits.

Is there any way for mods to tell when one person is posting from multiple accounts via IP activity, or is it only admins? I often see people making posts that blatantly violate the rules from what look like throwaway accounts (short history, little to no other posts.) Banning them won’t do much if they can just create a new account.

Only admins unfortunately. Stuff like this is all manual legwork and months of putting pieces together.

You can make a new account or karma filter that prevents that kind of thing, this user has systematically made accounts over the years to avoid that sort of detection, which makes it harder to track.
