I’ll have to root around and find one. And as I mentioned, I’m looking around Minneapolis too.

What you're talking about is not in Minneapolis. It's suburban developments where the deck build wasnt included. I wouldn't buy a house like that because of the previous owner couldn't afford a deck they probably couldn't afford a lot of other shit. And fwiw old ass houses in Minneapolis are built WAAAAYYY better than any suburban development.

From experience I bought a 1925 house in NE mpls and lived in it for 10 years. ZERO fucking problems. Sold and moved to a bigger house bigger yard suburb build in 1987 and it's been nothing but fucking problems. I appreciate the space and the yard but God damn it is one thing after another with a leaky ass bathtub, leaking toilet, shitty furnace and water softener, even though all of that shit is literally 30 years newer than the stuff in the old house. Planned obsolescence is real.

Also shitty ass flooring with no real subfloor vs rock solid 100 year old hardwood floors.

I had an insurance class years ago and the instructor went on about them. I think his brother in law had one and a kid fell out like 12 ft and there was a big mess with insurance.
