View submission: How to fix a Swastika
Why should cultures that had nothing to do with the holocaust not use a symbol they've had as part of their culture for thousands of years? Are European sensitivities the only ones that matter?

Because they put up the wrong symbol showing massive ignorance on their part. Like in India someone started a hitler cafe and once they find out who he is just go “meh, nothing can be done now”. Like just put on the real symbol if it’s so important to your faith.?

I am a Christian. I love Jesus. If a hate group decided to use the cross as their symbol, and then they did a genocide that killed ELEVEN MILLION PEOPLE, the cross would no longer be a symbol of love. It would be the way that those genocidal people recognized each other. I could never use it again.
Things change. Sucks that the swastika had a beautiful meaning before it was taken over by evil, but it was, and that matters.
