View submission: How to fix a Swastika
As a Jew, I was invited to an Indian party at an Indian friend's new house. I pull up and see it's covered with Swastika decorations (the proper Swastika), and I laugh and go "Any other time and place this would be a warning sign"

As a white Buddhist I've just had to accept there is no possible way for me to reclaim it. No amount of context is ever going to put me in the clear.

There's a Buddhist temple in Vietnam which has what is clearly a Nazi Swastika, down to the angle and bold lines. The tour guide explained to us that the workers were not aware of the western meaning of swastikas and just copied one from the internet. I still find this hilarious.

when my dad bought a new car, we put it on our hood (a small one) in red, and a family walked by our car in the parking lot and were almost staring and glancing at it, so we rubbed it off before someone damaged the car lol

unless it was a swastika painted on a synagogue or Jewish graves, etc. by a rabbi or other Jew in order to blame it on others and cry 'anti-semitism'
