I used to work freelance for Condé Nast in the 1990s as a camera tech on fashion shoots for Vogue, Allure, Details, etc.
S.I. Newhouse was the chairman then, before James Truman took over. We used to call him “Uncle Si” because he sent us on so many adventures.
There were dozens of great travel jobs but I particularly loved spending eight days in Paris with a car and driver during fashion week and having dinner in The Marais with Andre Leon Talley, and staying at whatever the hell Morracan-themed hotel that was. We were paid well.
But that was dot com bubble money. But yeah, why do it for free?
There's nothing here!
