View submission: Daily Complaining About Sunsets Thread: 01/02/19
I browse r/losangeles on Apollo, which loads images automatically on the front page ( think hoverzoom for mobile) so every single one of those pics loads on my phone and I have to scroll by them to get to the other interesting stuff.
It takes a lot of screen real eastate on my phone. Thats the real reason sunset pics are annoying to me. And the occassional sunset pic doesn't bother me.... but I feel like once I've seen 3 angles of the exact same sunset, each concurrent sunset angle that day annoys me more and more... When it comes to those days where half the posts in r/LA are sunsets... it starts to annoy me, ya know?
So I was out of town last week visiting the closest of my relatives... In that area my carrir didn't operate but it had subcontracted with another carrier.... Normally in LA I have unlimited internet on my phone, but over there I was limited to .5gigs per day.
It was amazing to see how fast I burned through half a gig in a day. I wasn't even watching videos! I'd avoid videos and music, or streaming of any kind and still burn through half a gig before the day is done. This is the day of my last sunset pic complaint post.... I went through half a gig scrolling past all of those sunset pics. It's got to be infuriating for those of us not on unlimited data plans or have no wifi at their home. And yes, I recognize how "first world problem" this is.
Thanks for listening.
