Pasadena Playhouse has a cool Halloween show going on right now called "The Woman in Black." It's been running on the West End (the Broadway of London) for like 30 years and has become a Halloween tradition for some Brits. It's on stage now until Nov. 11. I've heard a couple people say it's pretty scary for a play. On Halloween they are having an event with Hollyweird Paranormal podcast. Could be good. Looking for wholesome halloween things to take my kids to. No violence, no gore, no demons, nothing dirty, etc. Any recommendations?

Any recommendations on haunted houses, tours to go on (not necessarily on Halloween night either)? I've been looking online and there's so much of everything.

Doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results -that mans name? Albert Einstein

Every Year the **westboro baptist church** comes to protest the **West Hollywood Halloween Carnival.** They use these HUGE bullhorns that are so big and loud they put them on poles cause they can't hold them up the whole time.

The whole point is to drown them out for one hour. For one hour, Halloween revelers can come and join in on our karaoke, mere feet away from the bigots. So that instead of hearing words of hate, they'll hear karaoke.... For one hour. Or until the westboro baptist church promises to stop using their bullhorns for the rest of the day. I'll be holding a sign that says "we'll stop when you stop". You can bring similar signs if you want, it is a counter-protest of sorts.

I will have a screen that plays the lyrics for everyone so those that don't know the songs can join along. I will also have a big ass speaker (hopefully bigger than theirs) to play the music, but I'm hoping even if my speaker doesn't work, maybe our voices will drown out their speakers.

To all the police men and women guarding the WBC, I'm sorry about what they're doing, but hopefully our karaoke will be more tolerable than their words of hate. I respect you guys for defending their right to say stuff, even though you don't agree with what they're saying. That's what America is all about.

You're welcome to join in. Everyone is welcome to sing along or sing to the microphone. The microphone will be passed around to whoever wants it!.... as long as you're singing. There'll be trolls, we're prepared, good thing it's a wired microphone!

By the way, we have no intention of getting violent no matter what they say. We're not there to listen, we are there to be heard. If anyone gets violent please alert the nearby police. Do not support any form of violence or intimidation. We are going to be doing this for fun. The WBC usually causes a very grim and hateful atmosphere and we are there to make it fun for one hour while we're there. We believe that the ENTIRE carnival should be filled with fun, even the darkest of it's corners.

The protest Usually happens on the south western part of La Cienega and Santa Monica. It may be different this year. If they don't come then even better, meetup cancelled!

Oh and we're aware we didn't capitalize the westboro baptist church. We believe they don't deserve it.
