Every Ron Paul thread in /r/politics is blanketed with posts from a tiny handful of accounts I identified months ago as paid astroturf posters.

I too believe the government actually pays people to argue with self-important nerds on Reddit.

krugmanisapuppet, I mean no offense by this, but you may be spending too much time on reddit.

That list is bullshit. I've been paid for months to discredit Ron Paul here on reddit and none of my aliases are on that list....

Wait.... Dammit.... I would have gotten away with it if it werent for you meddling kids!

Wait, did you tally up the number of letters in each of their posts? Which direction do the comments face? That could be the location of the next Dan Brown plot point. Have you considered the possibility that these are aliens--socialist aliens? I don't think you've even scratched the surface yet.

Doesn't it seem unlikely that there are paid people to trash Ron Paul? The premise sort of assumes that there is some big conspiracy/established group keeping him down. However, the establishment already thinks he's irrelevant, so it seems a little odd that they would pay a bunch of people to bash him on a random internet forum. If there are anti ron paul trolls getting paid, then I think it's safe to assume that there are paid trolls on almost every side of all issues because it would be dumb as fuck to only pay people to bash RP.

Where do I sign up to be paid for being a troll? I think I could do well.

I think they are just extremely verbal libertarian haters...nothing more or less.

I mean no offense but could it be that your list of people just have vocal opinions contrary to your own? There are people that post consistently pro-libertarian pro-ron paul pro-whatever comments does that mean that they are also paid by someone?

Please, go get some fresh air.

Krugman, while I would like to support you on this one, I'm not sure I can. I will agree that behavioral analysis may be admissible as evidence. It cannot be the sole evidence. I hope you find more evidence and prove me wrong. But for now... you must know how this looks.

I am sure there are trolls and whatnot, but krugmanisapuppet's protests on here are kind of making me think he is the troll. You are claiming proof when there is not any and we are supposed to take your word for it. Yeah, /r/politics[1] is blanked with post from astroturf posters, but you are just being stupid.

krugmanisapuppet, I know you and I don't always agree but I respect your ideas and I think you usually contribute very well to this subreddit.

However, I don't understand your motivation here. I also don't appreciate the accusation that I'm a "paid astroturfer".

tldr: everyone who is a liberal on /r/politics must be a paid astroturf poster, there is no other logical explanation

It's easy to attribute virtues to people we agree with and negative intent in those we don't.
